Our Story
Hockey StickMan began with the goal of offering pro stock sticks at prices lower than retail to save hockey families money. About 6 or 7 years ago, our innovative team decided to expand our abilities to save even more by creating our own stick.
The Marketing Strategy
Big name brands invest heavily in marketing, driving the cost of their sticks up to $400. We chose a different path. Instead of spending a ton of money on marketing, we took the graphics completely off our sticks and relied on word-of-mouth marketing within the hockey community.
Quality and Cost
The Pro Blackout stick is not cheaper because of inferior quality but because of our strategic business decisions. Modeled after top-end sticks, it has been tested extensively and has received positive feedback. With over 20,000 reviews supporting our business and the Pro Blackout, you can trust you’re getting a high-quality product for just $150.
Specifications
These sticks are made to our specific standards in a factory that produces other pro stock sticks. They are not repainted Bauer or CCM sticks. Each Pro Blackout stick features 18K carbon, weighs about 400g, and is handmade like all pro stock sticks.
Performance and Durability
Some top-end sticks weigh less than 400g, so why did we choose 400g for the Pro Blackout? Our testing revealed that 400g strikes a balance between performance and durability. While lighter sticks like the Agent or FT6 perform well, they break more often, leading to higher costs over the season.
Customer Feedback and Future Plans
Despite having thousands of pro stock sticks in our store, the Pro Blackout remains our best-selling item month after month. We’re excited to announce that we plan to release red and blue lite hockey sticks, similar to the Pro Blackout, but weighing around 365g.
Through multiple surveys and questionnaires, our customers expressed a strong desire for a stick under 400g that remains affordable compared to typical name-brand sticks. Keep an eye out for these new sticks launching next hockey season!
Conclusion
Consider trying a Pro Blackout stick today to save money while still getting a high-performing stick. Stay tuned for more innovative products from HockeyStickMan!
