What Stick Does Sarah Nurse Use?
One of the faces paving the way for women's hockey, Sarah Nurse seems to be everywhere these days from dazzling the NHL All-Star events to cracking jokes on the Chiclets podcast, Sarah's got the spotlight on her, and she's not planning on dimming it any time soon. You likely spotted her on the cover of NHL 23 or popping up on your news feed – she's practically everywhere, and we're loving it!
Sarah has a long list of accomplishments including 2 Olympic medals with a record breaking 18 point performance in the 2022 Olympics. Sarah also has 4 IIHF World Championship medals and won U18 gold before attending Wisconsin University for fours years of NCAA D1 hockey, as well as putting up 23 points in 24 games for the Toronto Sceptres in the inaugural season of the PWHL.
This stick from Nurse is from a few years ago when she played at Wisconsin University. Opting for a P29 she stands out a bit from typical specs we see women hockey players using. Sarah is likely still using a matte non-grip stick which is some eye catching specs as we don't see this too often, but it isn't actually too out of the ordinary for women hockey players. We have had many players from the PWHL and leagues before, drop off sticks with the same non-grip finish. Though Sarah isn't using this Trigger 2 anymore she has been a CCM athlete for as long as we can remember and likely has similar specs with her newer model sticks.
